About Nicole
My experience and qualifications
Experience
Alongside my private practice, which has been established since 2014, I work as a therapist at Priory Woking Hospital, as part of their mental health team. I have experience working with issues around: abuse, addictions, anxiety, bereavement, childhood related issues, co-dependency, depression, eating disorders, infertility, loss, obsessions, OCD, personal development, CPTSD, pregnancy, relationships, self esteem, sense of self, sexuality, spirituality, stress, trauma, and work-related issues.
Before establishing my private practice, I worked as a bereavement counsellor for Marie Curie, a counsellor at St. Ann’s Hospital, Phoenix Unit (a service specialising in eating disorders), and as a psychotherapist for Fresh Start Low Cost Counselling and Psychotherapy Services.
Prior to my work as a therapist, I worked as a London based yoga instructor, offering group and 1:1 sessions, as well as workshops and retreats. I had transitioned to yoga from a career in ballet and contemporary dance, which involved both performing and teaching dance to both children and adults.
Qualifications
I hold a diploma and research MA in transpersonal integrative psychotherapy, through The Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education, London. I am accredited through UKCP and BACP.
My continued professional development has led me to incorporate further skills in working with trauma, nervous system regulation, dreamwork, meditation, and embodied awareness practices, as a means to bridge body, mind and spirit.
I have been a practitioner of The Discipline of Authentic Movement since 2013, supported by my teachers Linda Hartley and Jane Okondo.
